adidas X15+ SL "White/Shock Blue" : Football Boots : Soccer Bible

adidas lay down a huge marker of intent ahead of a blockbuster summer of football with the release of a boot that will be worn for the remainder of the season, right up until EURO 2016 and the Copa America this summer. Introducing the adidas X15+ SL.

Set to be worn by Thomas Müller, Gareth Bale, Luis Suárez and Karim Benzema, the adidas X15+ SL is updated from the standard issue with a number of technology advancements that will enable it to take centre stage in domestic and European cup finals and league deciders. Chaos just got lighter.

Shaving excess weight off the X 15.1 and finished with a more premium style, the X15+ SL is the first boot to receive the 'Super Light' treatment since adidas introduced their football revolution in 2014. With an innovative new X-CAGE with a shine-through TPU material the adidas X15+ SL offers a speed-constructed design with striking graphics.

The X-SKIN is made up of a complex new three-layered system that delivers comfort, protection and performance in all weather conditions, whilst a lightweight design gives added support during agile movements. Improvements have also been made to the TECHFIT COLLAR sock construction that offers a compression fit around the ankle for increased support fit, while the X-CLAW base remains albeit with a slightly jazzier finish.

For the sake of clarity, the X15+ SL will not be worn at EURO 2016 and the Copa America. For those headline tournaments adidas have a completely different plan in the pipeline that will include a next generation of the X series. For now though, the first generation X leaves us in a more stylish and lighter condition than when it barged into our lives nearly two years ago.
